Special features and benefits
BYK-392 is used as a surface additive for solvent-borne systems. It is used, for example, in 2-pack systems or as an anti-popping additive in solvent-borne baking systems. It is also particularly effective in airless/airmix systems in terms of defoaming and degassing. BYK-392 improves leveling and increases gloss. It only leads to a minimal reduction in surface tension.Recommended levels
0.1–1 % additive (as supplied) based on the total formulation.
The above recommended levels can be used for orientation. The optimum dosage should be determined by application-related test series.
Incorporation and processing instructions
The additive can be incorporated during any stage of the production process, including post-addition.Adhesives and sealants
Special features and benefits
BYK-392 improves leveling and gloss in solvent-borne adhesive systems and prevents cratering. It only leads to a minimal reduction in surface tension. Due to its non-polar structure, the additive has a defoaming effect.
