Product Applications

Powder Coatings

Special Features and Benefits
The additive improves outgassing of powder coatings applied to porous substrates. Formation of pinholes, craters, and bubbles is reduced and scratch resistance is increased.

Recommended use
Ceraflour® 963 is effective in powder coatings based on polyester/TGIC/beta-HAA/epoxy-functional glycidylesters, polyester/epoxy, polyurethane, acrylate and epoxy.

Recommended Levels

  • 0.5-2 % additive (as supplied) based upon total formulation for extrusions with all components.
  • 0.5-4 % additive (as supplied) based upon total formulation for post-addition to finished powder coatings.

Incorporation and Processing Instructions: The product should be mixed with resin, hardener, pigments and other additives using a high-speed mixer and extruded with all components. As a free flowing product, Ceraflour® 963 can also be post-added. It can be easily dispersed into finished powder coatings without seeding.
