- The usual dosage of Elotex® ELOSET542 is between 0.01 and 0.2% (weight % on dry mortar). Prolonged mixing time during dry mortar production should be avoided.
- Elotex® ELOSET542 is compatible with standard mortar additives, such as redispersible polymer powders, accelerators, retarders, cellulose ethers etc.
- Characteristics
ELOTEX® ELOSET542 is a cold-water-soluble chemically modified waxy maize starch ether in powder form. It acts as a rheology modifier of dry mortars.
Packaging & Availability
- Packaging Type
- Packaging Information
Standard packaging: 25 kg paper sacks with polyethylene liners. Other types of packaging are available on request.
Storage & Handling
- Storage Information
- Store Elotex® powder in a cool, dry place in original packaging at temperatures not exceeding 25 °C and process within six months after the date of delivery. When storing Elotex® products avoid higher stacking of the goods to minimize pressure on the product and avoid storing in contact with moisture or heat, or in containments open for an extended period, as this may result in blocking of the powder. If the product is stored for longer than six months after the date of delivery, users are advised to evaluate properties required for the intended use.
- Elotex® ELOSET542 can be blended in all commercial mixers with other dry additives to produce cement-based finished products in powder form. Significant temperature increases caused by strong shear forces should be avoided. All hydraulically and non-hydraulically curing dry mortars used with Elotex® ELOSET542 can be easily mixed with water before application.
