Eversorb® 81 is a liquid high-performance UV absorber known for its very high thermal stability, environmental permanence, and low initial color impact on substrates. Its chemical name is 3-(2H-benzotriazolyl)-5-(1,1-di-methylethyl)-4-hydroxy-benzenepropanoic acid octyl esters, and it belongs to the benzotriazole family. Eversorb® 81 is particularly suited for plastic and wood coatings, offering excellent thermal stability and low volatility. It is soluble in polar solvents and ensures reliable UV protection while maintaining the integrity of the substrate.
