Frutalose® SL90 is a liquid oligofructose¹ produced by partial hydrolysis of chicory inulin. It is characterized by its high fiber content, sweet taste, and good stability. Therefore, Frutalose® SL90 can be applied for fiber enrichment as well as a sugar replacer. Oligofructose from chicory is a polydisperse mixture of linear fructose polymers partly ended by a glucose molecule, coupled by means of β(2-1) bonds. The number of units (degree of polymerization) can be up to 10.

    Notes

5 - Non-digestible soluble carbohydrates with 3 or more monomeric units are declared here in compliance with regulatory definition of “dietary fiber” under Final Rule (81 FR33742) of the 2016 FDA New Nutrition Facts Label regulation.
    6 - Calculated value based on 2 kcal/gram pure inulin/oligofructose.
8 - The effect on the blood glucose level of 25 gram carbohydrate from Frutalose® SL90 is compared with the effect on blood glucose level of 25 gram glucose (control=100).
9 - Taste is compared with a sucrose solution of the same concentration. Relative sweetness is depending on the application
