- Application information
Preventol® AM 63-D is an aqueous dispersion of Diuron, BCM and IPBC. Preventol® AM 63-D is easily incorporated into most finished application products.
The preservative is solvent free, formaldehyde free, and VOC free. Preventol® AM 63-D blends a strong algaecide with two fungicides to enhance long term dry-film protection in formulated products.
It is recommended that Preventol® AM 63-D be added under continuous stirring toward the end of a production process for a coating (e.g. emulsion paint). Preventol® AM 63-D should not be diluted or mixed with other chemicals prior to process. Preventol® AM 63-D is particularly suited for low to no VOC formulations e.g. low-emission exterior paints and building materials for exterior use. However, it is recommended to perform material compatibility studies with the finished product.
As with any biocide, use of Preventol® AM 63-D in a given application must be tested (including field testing, etc.) by the user in advance to determine suitability.
To obtain reliable and reproducible results, homogeneous distribution in the materials to be protected must be ensured by taking suitable measures in production (stirring, agitating, etc.)
- Product Usage
For algal and fungal protection in paints & stains, masonry coatings, roof coatings, caulks & sealants, stucco and joint cements.
