Special Features and Benefits
  • RHEOBYK-T 1010 VF increases the viscosity in the high-shear range with an extremely low impact in the low-shear range.
  • It improves processability, leveling, and storage stability.
  • It reduces spattering during application. In addition, greater layer thicknesses can be achieved along with an excellent balance between the flow properties and leveling.
  • The additive is liquid and therefore easy to handle and is VOC-, APEO-, and tin-free.
  • It is not necessary to adjust the pH value or control the temperature during incorporation.
  • RHEOBYK-T 1010 VF has no negative effect on gloss, color acceptance or rub-out.

Recommended Use
  • RHEOBYK-T 1010 VF is preferably used in emulsion paints and coatings that are based on acrylics, styrene acrylics and vinyl acetate copolymer binders as well as PU and alkyd emulsions.
  • It is also well suited for aqueous wood and furniture coatings based on PU, acrylics and UV-curing systems.
Incorporation and Processing Instructions
  • Addition under stirring ensures optimum distribution and the best possible effectiveness and reproducibility in applications.
  • RHEOBYK-T 1010 VF is suitable for adding to the mill-base, to the letdown, or as a post additive to retroactively adjust the rheological properties.
