Al2Chem AL 151 Silane

1 of 7 products in this brand
Al2Chem AL 151 Silane is a clear, colorless, strongly alkaline liquid with low chloride content and high sensitivity to hydrolysis. It serves as an adhesion promoter at organic/inorganic interfaces, surface modifier for corrosion prevention, and moisture crosslinker for silicone polymers. As a coupling agent, it enhances mechanical and electrical properties, particularly under heat and moisture exposure.

  • Al2Chem AL 151 Silane is unlimited miscible with water with spontaneous hydrolysis occurring. Caution: Due to solution enthalpies mixing water is exothermic. Always stirAl2Chem AL 151 Silane into water. With alcohols miscibility is, in general, possible with self-catalyzed exchange of the alkoxy-groups. In aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons and (moisture-free!) ethers or estersAl2Chem AL 151 Silane is easily soluble at differing levels. With ketones and various halogenated compounds a slow reaction can occur.
