Elotex® MP2701 is a hard redispersible polymer powder based on a copolymer of vinyl acetate and ethylene, specifically developed for thin-set tile adhesive mortars on plywood substrates. It acts as an organic binder to enhance adhesion, cohesion, and workability in building materials like ready-mix dry mortars. This hard polymer binder is designed to improve shear strength and adhesion to plywood substrates. Elotex® MP2701 also features extremely low VOC emissions, enabling manufacturers to meet stringent eco-labelling standards such as EMICODE EC1PLUS.

Safety & Health

Safety Information

Elotex® redispersible powders are not classified as hazardous. Powder processing: Elotex® redispersible powders can be blended in all commercial mixers with other dry additives to produce finished products in powder form. Since Elotex® redispersible powders exhibit thermoplastic behaviour, mixing times should be as short as possible, and significant temperature increases caused by strong shear forces should be avoided. All hydraulically and non-hydraulically curing dry mixtures can be easily combined with Elotex® redispersible powder and subsequently mixed with water before application.

Packaging & Availability

Packaging Information

Standard packaging: 25 kg paper sacks with polyethylene liners. Other types of packaging, such as Big Bags or delivery in silo wagons, are available on request.

Storage & Handling

Storage Information

Store Elotex® powder in a cool, dry place in original packaging at temperatures not exceeding 25 °C and process within six months after the date of delivery. Avoid storing Elotex® powder under pressure, in damaged sacks, in contact with moisture or heat, or in sacks left open for an extended period, as this may result in blocking of the powder. If the product is stored for longer than six months after the date of delivery, users are advised to evaluate properties required for the intended use.
